I worked at Softonic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I met tons of caring and hard working people at the company. Working for a Spanish company poses its difficulties but it gave me experience with managing a 9 hour time difference.

    Cons

The management at Softonic is terrible. They say one thing and do another. They want you to drink the Kool-aid of the company when it's not actually doing too well. There have been a ton of shakeups in management over the years but it's too little too late for this company.

    Advice to Management

    Don't lie to your employees.

  2. "No room for growth and vague transparency in communication with its employees."

I worked at Softonic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Softonic used to be a fun place to work. Pre-ERE employees were a great group of people all working towards a goal. There was a hint of improvement post-ERE, but quickly fell away.

    Cons

Low pay and raise structure only compensated for standard of living. EU standards and ethics. The company was so focused on creating sales deals, management wanted other departments to assist without question. Big lack of clear promotion guidelines and would rather hire from outside than develop employees. Even with less employees, company is still bloated and not agile enough to know its market.
