I worked at Solon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People were great. Select few became life long friends. Plenty of unique challenges to tackle, company allowed you to essentially define your own destiny in terms of what to work on.

    Cons

Constant turnover, always had new managers/supervisors with different styles to which employees had to adapt to. Lots of overtime, so work/life balance took a hit. Mgmt bonuses were upwards of 20x what engineers made as bonuses (one executive made more in his annual bonus than I did as my salary).

    Advice to Management

The little wealth the company had should have been reinvested in the company to keep it alive, not paid out as bonuses to execs.

    Pros

Rewarded for your hard work. Most people employed really cared about their job and the company. Nice facility. I got along with upper management well.

    Cons

Was expected to do the work of three people. Long hours. Every year turmoil and job turnovers were common
