Pros

You're around the cars and people and you have a real opportunity to make the most of it if you actively seek it. That is, unless you're in a department where that's not possible because management doesn't allow you to go out or pitch ideas. It's hit or miss. There are plenty of opportunities to be published, and being around the office is flexible.

Cons

Pay raises don't happen. Seriously, they don't. Give up on the notion that they do unless there's some unforeseen circumstance where you luck out on one. Also, management can be hit or miss, and that can impact your time there. There is no incentive to turn in top-quality work. You do it because you love what you do, but there's no incentive to improving. There is no story coaching. There is no regular facetime with bosses. There's a strong tiered system. Either you're one of the people who are on top, or you're not. Moving up in the company is tough. Pitching ideas is tough. Getting any feedback without ending up on someone's bad side is tough as well.

Pros

Flexible Schedule, Benefits were good.

Cons

This review is directed more to Software Engineers contemplating joining the digital group. If you're looking for an organization that is technologically savvy, surrounded by innovative ideas, and challenges you to develop quality, than I highly suggest you look elsewhere. I was sold on these ideals but unfortunately this organization fails to deliver. There is ZERO leadership within Digital. No one is setting standards and the CTO is perhaps as keen into technology as the facilities crew that hedges the lawn. I think someone needs to remind him what the 'T' is in his title. I've sat in numerous meeting where he's actually sleeping during the course of the meeting and when we look for decision making on technology direction, he's just dumbfounded. I was tired of him saying that he's more "business" then "technology"....if so, than lets hire someone more 'technology' focus! This organization needs to rebuild. But until they do, stay far far away from it.

Pros

Flexible time off Laid-back atmosphere Few expectations

Cons

No chance to advance, no "carrot" to work towards No chance for a raise No chance to speak to a boss with actual authority Few opportunities to show worth to company Dismal workforce; everyone is negative and seems to think they have "no other options" Cubicles make you feel imprisoned, uninspired, and not part of a team
