Pros

A resort for software engineers. The business is far from development and does not interfere with the technical side. Engineering leadership mostly deal with budgets, people and processes. Lots of legacy code. Any estimates get approved, so you can work at a relaxed pace. Good corporate parties once a year.

Cons

Frequent layoffs, but if you make yourself critical to a lot of legacy systems, which is not hard, they are easy to survive. Growth is weak, and the company is far from cutting edge.

Frequent layoffs, high employee turnover, no transparency

Pros

There were three rounds of layoffs over four years, and notably, each one happened just a few months after company retreat trips—to Turkey, Gdańsk, and Georgia. The company seems to have a pattern: spend money on parties and team bonding, then “optimize” staff afterward. Frequent overtime, a lack of appreciation, and high turnover across all departments say a lot. Things are especially chaotic in product management and engineering.

Cons

Five years ago, it was a completely different company—everyone was motivated, and there was a real sense that the CEO valued people and inspired them by example. But then things went downhill: everything became non-transparent, there’s a strange culture where the word “shit” gets thrown around, and there have been hidden layoffs.

Strong Team, Bad Leadership Culture

Pros

Engineering team is great. There are many talented people who are proactive, supportive, and genuinely collaborative.

Cons

Many of the cultural issues stem from the CEO’s leadership style. Communication can be unprofessional, expectations are often unrealistic, it creates a toxic and unhealthy environment. Strategy changes constantly, priorities shift immediately making planning meaningless. There are endless initiatives that appear suddenly, while existing work is rarely finished properly. There is constant pressure to deliver more in less time without sacrificing quality, creating unrealistic expectations. The company often drains people’s energy and resources, with overtime frequently expected “for a good cause.” Employee feedback is largely ignored; concerns are often dismissed with “it’s hard times, that’s how it works.”
