I worked at St.George Bank part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I loved the bank in the early years I worked for them for 18 years.

    Cons

My saying is you are as good as your last sale. The management were more concerned about sales rather than service.

Hard working, everyone willing to help to get the job done. Very enjoyable work drinks and function. A really good culture.

Job can be boring at times, you feel like you have done all the work previously and are just repeating what you know.

I worked at St.George Bank part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great culture. Bank targeted at customer experience.

    Cons

Job had limited range and limited career opportunities. Very sales focused, with sometimes less than perfect products and services to offer customers.

    Advice to Management

Be more open to movement from customer facing roles to corporate roles. I was a high performing graduate who left because the pathway for retail bankers felt restricted to staying in retail.
