I worked at Stellar Partners full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

As a Retail Company at the airports, is great to have the opportunity to meet new people all the time. Paid vacations and other benefits. Reward employees with $100.00 when achieving a 100% scored on a secret shopper's evaluation.

    Cons

There are not much chances of growing but as a Supervisor. No enough hours when seasons are down.

I worked at Stellar Partners full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Since being acquired by HMS Host, they have a brand new office and free beverages. Don't get excited though, free lunches are only for the select few members of the executive team clique.

    Cons

It would be a challenge to find a group as unorganized, miserable and inappropriate as the executive team at Stellar Partners corporate office. There is absolutely no structure, no communication and EVERYTHING is left until the very last minute before deadlines. Expect very little work/life balance, such as requests coming in at 5pm to be done that night, and 20 PTO days which includes sick days and vacation days AND holidays. That's right, you don't actually get the typical government holidays off unless you take your own PTO. Expect to do nothing right even though you were given no instruction and for everything to be someone else's fault other than management's. They truly believe that the sun rises and sets on Stellar, and nothing in the world could be more important than the work at hand. Oh, and not to mention the lack of company culture because everyone is miserable. If you're driven, enthusiastic and enjoy your field of work, don't waste your time with this company.

    Advice to Management

Actually TRAIN your employees so that mistakes aren't made, and take some ownership in your responsibilities. Stop galavanting around the office asking everyone on the exec team what they want for lunch and ignoring your other employees. Grow up and stop gossiping about your employees and consultants and actually GO HOME once in a while.

I have been working at Stellar Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Safe working environment. Airport is a good place to meet people of different cultures

    Cons

Very bad company. They lie and frame people to terminate. Company has no morals at all. Managers think all associates are there just to steal. Zero emphasis on customer service,

    Advice to Management

Change your work ethics and start trusting employees buoy are in business because of hard working employees.

"Very poor work environment at offices; staff treated horribly"

    Pros

Offer great amount of PTO hours even if you have just started

    Cons

Work environment is very hostile and unstable. One day you can be doing the right things and the next you are getting literally yelled at for making a mistake. Mistakes are made in the first place because there is no formal training. You are trained by the person above you and if they don't like you for any reason you have no chance. It is only a matter of time before you are let go. Lots of office gossip and inappropriate friendships between upper management and employees. Lots of finger pointing when it comes to who is to blame for mistakes. Pay is incredibly low.

    Advice to Management

Better training; Hiring a more professional human resources staff; implementing a strict no gossiping policy and enforce it; stop all inappropriate friendships between upper management and lower rank staff

I have been working at Stellar Partners full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent benefits, generous PTO for full- and part-time employees, opportunities for advancement, very hands-on corporate staff, fun work environment at airports

    Cons

Minimal corporate staff/overhead means many things are overlooked/not addressed timely, low pay for hourly employees, going through security if your location is post-security, open 365 days/year, so working on Thanksgiving and Christmas is usually demanded by one of us.

    Advice to Management

More incentive programs for hourly employees, add additional help in corporate's Merchanding Dept.

    Pros

By far one of the BEST Companies to work in today's Airport Retail Industry. Individuals are treated as individuals and not as numbers.

    Cons

The Company is limited to some airports but is fast expanding to other areas of the West Coast.

    Advice to Management

    Keep treating your
