Pros

The products are cool and there are some big name clients. Some people see great development opportunities. Money isn't skimped for things like travel or Friday drinks.

Cons

Worst place I have ever worked. The CEO is completely toxic, other management figures enable his behaviour, and any staff lucky enough to not be in his firing line keep their heads down and ignore what's happening to their colleagues. Once he has randomly decided that he doesn't like someone, he will pick holes in their work in front of everyone, exclude them from the wider team and do anything he can to force them to resign, before taking more official measures if they won't. This has happened to enough employees to suggest that the problem lies with him, not them.

Pros

Great opportunity to learn especially if you are new to the workforce or very early in your career. With the company size, it is easy to get a taste of a few areas and learn things quickly. Team events were a great way to connect and keep the team alive.

Cons

The CEO is indenial about the negative and irrational behaviour he portrays. He doesn’t listen to his senior leadership team who are infact more knowledgeble and exposed to their area of work rather than the CEO who gets to see things from a very high level. The company has been sinking for a while with senior leadership team leaving one by one, mainly due to the CEO and his negativity. The CEO’s use of words worsens with his mood and you are just meant to understand that ‘he was just joking’. There is no respect from top management and they are always playing games to keep the truth from other employees - especially when a team member resigns. There is nothing called a farewell for well deserved team members. In fact, the wider team only gains knowledge of someones departure maybe a week before they are leaving , if lucky. In todays world where hybrid working is a new normal, changing the company’s policy to fully office is so backwards. This shows the amount of trust management has on its employees. The CEO always had an issue with that, thinking that people are simply on holiday when they are working from home, without acknowledging that their productivity levels remained the same, if not increased. When it was time to ‘tell’ employees that they would receive pay cuts due to Covid, the management didnt shy away from putting it in place asap. But when its about about employees saving on travel costs whilst working from home, then its simply not acceptable to the management.
