    No transparency and crippling culture

    Pros

Smart and dedicated colleagues, good industry exposure. You have the opportunity to truly make a difference in the business health and future, and many roles have a high degree of autonomy. Benefits are solid.

    Cons

The path forward is unclear. Company focus and priorities shift frequently without clear reasoning, which means many great opportunities are left to wither on the vine. Despite such a small size, internal communication is sorely lacking. Due to the extremely high turnover and sluggish hiring, you are often forced to take on responsibilities that take away time that should be spent on more valuable contributions. Pay structure is a constant struggle, so it's critical to get everything very clearly defined and in writing (and even then there are no guarantees). I experienced and witnessed a lot of inappropriate and unprofessional situations with management. It's difficult to learn anything new.

    Great engineering and product culture

    Pros

Young, dynamic, and fun team. Chance to work on massive scale and huge amounts of data. Collaborative and welcoming work place. Execution oriented and results driven culture.

    Cons

It is a fast paced environment. Not ideal for someone seeking a 9-5 job. Being a startup in a fast evolving field, their goals and timelines are highly ambitious. It can also require modifying and adapting the goals quickly.

    Great place to work!

    Pros

I have been here for less than a year but I can definitely say it is one of the best companies I’ve worked so for.
If you love wearing multiple hats and are a self-starter, this is the place for you. Company is growing and with the growth comes new exciting challenges, which helps you learn new things and gain experience. Team is very friendly and they’re always encouraging and supportive.

    Cons

    very little to complain about.

I would give 0 stars if I could...

    Pros

Lots of exposure to the industry.

    Cons

They lie about everything from their technology's capabilities to how well the business is doing (hint: it's not doing well) and they expect their salespeople to lie to potential partners as well. The executives care more about getting the company's name out there by spending major $$ to sponsor every mobile conference than they do about building a strong product and forming lasting partnerships. The company promises high earnings potential but does not deliver, even for their top performers. Management is unwilling to take constructive feedback about the product or the company's business practices. They say that they are open but unless you're offering praise, they don't want to hear it. The favorite employees were the ones that went along with everything the CEO said and rarely questioned anything. When requesting constructive criticism from the CEO, he will offer nothing and then criticize you later for something that could have been addressed much earlier. The company does not care about employee growth and development. Goals are inconsistent and potential career paths are unclear. There is no work-life balance; working long hours and on weekends is encouraged and celebrated. The company had a round of layoffs last November and handled it incredibly poorly. Employees who lost their jobs were not offered any severance or compassion as they were being told they no longer had a job. If you are considering taking a job here, question everything you're told by management and current employees. Do your research. Try and talk to some former employees. Get the full story before accepting a position.

    Mismanaged company with poor leadership

    Pros

Great employees, good office space with bi weekly lunches.

    Cons

The company is like a sinking ship with an exorbitantly high attrition rate. The company itself doesn't know where it is headed and is highly mismanaged. Despite being a startup of <14 employees, the upper management doesn't care about the feedback and suggestions offered by the employees for growth. Poor pay structure. Laid back attitude. Half of the advertised products aren't developed. Stay away if you can.

    Pros

    - Great, friendly coworkers - Fun company outings - Great central location

    Cons

    - Time management (of meetings and employee schedules) is not the greatest - Pay scale is on the lower end - May have to take on responsibilities that don't personally pertain to your role since the team is small

    Avoid At All Costs

    Pros

Employees are mostly good people Snacks

    Cons

Didn't want to write this but people need to know. This place is extremely mismanaged. Over promising employees and under delivering on every front. When things go wrong blame is passed and upper management never takes responsibility. If offered this job please ask for hard information about revenue, actual products that are on market, and try to read between the lines. Ask why the most recent people left the company.
