Pros

There were some pretty amazing positives about working at Teamwork. The people are smart, honest (more on that), dedicated, and supportive. The benefits are amazing - PTO for 6 weeks, 100% paid individual healthcare, Remote friendly, nice tech allowance for home office, and occasional travel for fun work events.

Cons

The company has gone through two rounds of layoffs, one in August impacting 47 people and one recently in January impacting 19 people. The company is struggling which they've been honest about however the justification for layoffs is said to not be because of lower than expected earnings/revenue growth. This feels like lies on behalf of founders who are trying to keep a few collections of employees safe but will mine for layoffs in other departments. When the company took outside investment for the first time, the pressure has now come from the board to pay-up or sell, and I think Teamwork is trying to double down on their growth targets. The company now feels unstable, disorganized, messy, and cause for any employee to be concerned. There are no guarantees with a job but I would be weary of joining Teamwork.

Pros

Really cannot think of any pro to this company.

Cons

My experience with this company was nothing short of disappointing. The leadership was consistently poor, and it seems as though the co-founders have no trust in their employees whatsoever. It was frustrating to see the co-founders of this company take over projects without any consideration for the hard work and dedication of their team members. This behavior not only undermines the morale of the team but also demonstrates a lack of faith in their own hiring process. How can a company expect to succeed when its leaders do not trust the people they hire to do their jobs? Most recently, it was alarming to see the company attach themselves to a blatant lie for a partnership campaign on LinkedIn just to make metrics of something look better than they were. It is one thing to embellish the truth, but it is entirely another to outright lie. It is unethical and gross. Teamwork has serious issues with leadership, trust, and honesty. If you are considering working for this company, I would advise you to proceed with extreme caution. There is no psychological safety here.

Hi - there’s a lot to unpack in your feedback and experience, suffice to say we are a growing company and always learning. That said, the comment that Teamwork intentionally misrepresented the results of a partnership campaign on LinkedIn, led me to further investigate . I can't be 100% certain of the exact information you are referring to - though if it’s the Sales Effectiveness and Average Sales price , then we stand by that data. If you’d like to share more on the issues you have raised then you can contact me directly. (confidentiality guaranteed).Peter G - Head of Talent

Pros

- When initially hired (years ago), the company had a positive and welcoming culture that made it a great place to work.

Cons

- Leadership is not only ineffective but also lacks the necessary expertise to guide the team effectively. - Recent negative reviews regarding teamwork are unfortunately accurate, raising concerns about the current state of the company culture. - The authenticity of positive reviews is questionable, as they don't align with the experiences of many employees. Notice how the 5-star reviews are super brief and provide no substance. - As key foundational employees began to depart, the shortcomings in leadership became increasingly evident. - The offboarding process is poorly managed, leaving much to be desired. - CEO's asks sometimes come out of nowhere that negatively affect team's projects and timelines and how they're managed. Kind of ironic, no? - The company's approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion is severely lacking.
