I worked at Technip full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Pay - Great Training Programs (if and when allowed/approved by manager.)

    Cons

(pre-TechnipFMC) Was a top heavy organization. Constant battles within global senior management and at times complete refusal to comply to companies SOP's which conveyed a poor message; fostering internal conflict/chaos and combative client communication/ resolution. Failure to comply to contractual agreements and focused on constructing loop holes vs fulfilling on time deliverables. Zero to negative company cultural behavior along with communications to those employees fulfilling/exceeding contractual/ project specifications and fulfillment.

    Advice to Management

Focus less on the "Global Top Employer" certificates and actually be a Top Global Employer by listening to the employee issues and concerns. (Unbias/ {detach} emotional evaluation of employee performance)

I have been working at Technip full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

International EPC have offices in many countries. Good benefits and health insurance, vacation, holidays. Technip has large projects upstream and downstream and subsea.

    Cons

Technip organization is top heavy, too much project management, does not have good execution procedure. Downstream engineering standards are very poor.

    Advice to Management

Management need to have better project organizations. Management need to put qualified engineers in critical positions. Need to develop better working protocols with oversea high value engineering centers

I have been working at Technip full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good work / life balance
    Good coworkers
relaxed environment most of the time
    Accessible competant managment

    Cons

I.T. is ran by the dictates of the various business units, and they are resistant to change and or seeing I.T. as something that could benefit them as opposed to a cost center. Management fights the good fight, but at the end of the day its hard to forge ahead. What this results in is an I.T. department that feels like it is ran the way I.T. departments were 10 years ago.

    Pros

No micro managing. Nice balance between work and life.
