Pros

Make your own schedule, develop your own list of clients and learn about many new businesses. Role gave me a chance to try new strategies for networking and meeting contacts.

Cons

Royalties and fees charged by franchisor are high and the system is stacked against you - you often wound up losing money. IT systems were amateurish and faulty. Management was horrible. One person - George Shapiro - runs the entire show and is an autocratic with no people skills. During my decision making process, he was rarely mentioned. Then after I shelled out money to buy in, I found out he makes all decisions. Horrible franchise. David Banfield is listed as CEO when he is nothing more than a talking head.

Pros

Good health insurance, some freedom to use new technologies, flexible work schedule

Cons

Too many bosses, and each one will have their own take on the product you’re developing. If they dont like you anymore, you wont get reasons why, but eventually will get fired.
