    I worked at TotalSoft full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good colleagues, good environment to learn by doing, nice work place, transportation from subway to the headquarters, very flexible people (you can easily move from a java background to a .net one for example).

    Cons

    The headquarters are a bit far away, but they offer transportation. We ended up not having many projects to work on (talking about Java department only), the other departments are very successful though.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in SOD department.

    I worked at TotalSoft full-time

    Pros

    - Lots of challenges
    - Gain of experience (started junior, ended Technical Lead)

    Cons

    - Reactivity vs. Pro-activity: Nothing is ever foreseen, actions come only when something take them by surprise.
     - Continuity issues: Change/improvement attempts are on started never followed through
     - people support issue: Customer care is first, employee care seems inexistent; Internal evaluations seems pointless; No development path support; ...

    Advice to Management

    Review the company Culture and Values and how they are promoted.
    Promote true respect and communication between people.
    Be careful at who gets promoted to position such as technical team lead (some are still too junior for such responsibility)

    I have been working at TotalSoft full-time

    Pros

    I was impressed by their Training;
    Business plans;
    They are Organised;
    team-buildings;
    Great atmosphere here.
    Great managers

    Cons

    Lazy employees;
    Job location - far away from Bucharest. You should go with your own car. Even though you have a metro station, this station is far away from building. The employer offers to you a bus, but it's not a good idea because the weather may not always be good and in this case you will be supposed to wait, in front of the metro station, the employer's bus.

    Advice to Management

    Change your old employees, because they don't work, they are lazy; Also the old employees didn't help you, beacuse they think you will stole their job; They should pay the transport because of the distance. As i said, the building of the company is far away from Bucharest

    Pros

    Medium sized company, can find opportunities of advancement if you prove yourself, depends on the managers and projects.
    Decent payment range, on time salary, flexible hours as long as you reach target/make the number of hours.
    Good free coffee, teambuildings and parties regularly, some trainings.

    Cons

    Still some old school practices, you have to learn to overlook them.
    Some unpaid overtime if projects remain behind (depends on divisions, in some it is payed)
    HR department is not the strongest point.

    I have been working at TotalSoft full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - in 2 years had 2 salary raises.
    - lots of promotions, discounts, perks from the company's partners : gyms, auto services, libraries, health clinics, IT suppliers, etc.
    - free cafeteria for employees with free coffee and fruits.
    - football court rented 1/week for employees in a nearby location.
    - fast and helpful HR department.
    - even though PCs have out of dated hardware and sometimes even software, you work on innovative products for leading companies world wide
    - good atmosphere between colleagues, new people are easily integrated.
    - team leaders and project managers listens and take in account their team's ideas or opinions or complaints. they will try to help with any issues throughout your work - there is no such thing as: your problem, not mine; if you have a problem, it will receive support; they'll try to improve things wherever they can, if improvements are not possible - explanations will be provided as to why it can't be done and what alternatives are available

    Cons

    - company building located at the outskirts of Bucharest, in Voluntari more precisely
    - no lunch tickets but only a 25% subvention at daily menus from the building's canteen. The food from the menu is cheap and disgusting. If you buy anything that's not on daily menus, you have only VERY small discount (pocket change like).
    - senior management promises trainings, team buildings, new technologies (hardware and software mostly out of dated) but fails fulfill their commitments

    Advice to Management

    Some departments receive attention from senior managers only when they need to brag on the department's projects to potential clients
    If you make a commitment to your employees, fulfill it instead of "forgetting" them over a couple of months.
