Pros

Location location location. Bozeman, Montana is an amazing place. At TRG, you will learn a lot about the international trade and insurance industries. Also, ping pong is always fun.

Cons

There is so much to say here, but I will keep it simple. Employees at TRG know that they are not trusted and are easily replaced. That is the biggest problem and results in very high turnover. It is a cold calling gig, so be prepared to dial your heart out. You are trained by good people, but they don't have the bandwidth or incentive to do so effectively. When you do get into a commission position, they are one time payouts. The company gets the renewals.

Too Lazy to succeed

Pros

The company has a good product.

Cons

In a typical "Trickle Down" environment, manager meetings were designed to cultivate ideas to make more money for the Desk Managers, with a dead end of the lower level employees. I remember going to bat many times for newcomers and talented agents, only to be shut down every time. If you want a free insurance license, go fake enthusiasm for 2 months. 3 people a month make money/the rest collect free money from the company for their base pay.

Pros

I've been here almost a year and I have to say that TRG has many perks. The vacation time, paid holidays, health benefits, 401K, flex schedules, the amazing training program, Esprit de Corps day, the random breakfasts, snacks, & lunches provided to all employees, and so on. However, the most valuable "Pro" TRG has, is the people who work here. I've never met such a large group of genuinely nice people willing to help whoever needs it. The positive team atmosphere and the constant personal and professional growth acquired every day makes TRG an amazing company to work for. I am truly grateful for my manager and the constant knowledge & help she provides to our team. I have never worked for a company where I was honestly happy to go to work every day.

Cons

For someone who's been a workaholic their whole life, the 40 hrs., get out the door is hard for me. I know this is for my benefit, but I've always been able to take work home with me to catch up on things. It makes me feel better about where I am coming in the next day. If this would change and I could do some work at home in the evening sometimes, I'd love it!
