    Neutral Outlook

I worked at UBuildIt full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I enjoyed the opportunity to work both in the field and in an office environment , I also felt a real sense of accomplishment as I guided my clients who had little to no construction experience through the process of building their own homes

    Cons

As with most businesses in the construction field, your ability to attract clientele is based largely on how the economy is doing as a whole.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at UBuildIt full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You were an independent worker and managed your time.

    Cons

Paper checks were given when the company couldn't afford to pay employees.
The founder is a really horrible person who yells at employees and curses in emails.
Everyone there is over stressed, under worked and under paid.

    Advice to Management

Management classes would be beneficial to maintain a professional work environment

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at UBuildIt full-time

    Pros

It is a good concept, and the headquarters has some some capable people. The individuals franchises vary considerably in capability and business acumen.

    Cons

There is (was) a real lack of vision from the top about where the organization is going. It seemed to be a classic example of a good idea that needed a skilled manager to execute.

    Advice to Management

Bring in an experienced leader to run the company.

  4. "Lack of pertinent training"

Current Employee - Consultant in Savannah, GA

    Pros

Flexible work schedule. Fair pay. Good benefits. Usually good relations with clients as business premise is somewhat like a partnership.

    Cons

Little or no pertinent training. One week of corporate training was never used in the actual field.
Supervisors (owners) are not required to have any minimum level of expertise.

    Advice to Management

Develop some type of practical online training. Consultants come from very varied backgrounds and can be lacking in sufficient knowledge.
