I have been working at UEC Electronics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Best company I've worked for. Everyone here is super friendly and inclusive. It is easy to become involved in company culture, but if you're someone who likes space co-workers respect that as well. Monthly events keep the small-business feeling, but the benefits are competitive with larger companies! There are multiple tools the company provides for your voice to be heard. Work/life balance is SO much better than my last job. I really hit the jackpot with my job

    Cons

I have 0 complaints, which is crazy. Any concerns that I've had I've spoken to upper-level management and they've taken care of it

    Advice to Management

Maybe start using social media more to help show what company culture is like at UEC?

I worked at UEC Electronics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    1. Steady work
    2. Some friendly coworkers

    Cons

    1. Definitely a cliquish structure.
    2. Short sighted management will not fund improvements in their systems of operation (which is archaic).
    3. Wasted efforts are not recognized or ignored.
    4. Supervisors are not willing to (or not capable of) recognizing employees' skills. This results in misassignment of tasks, rework and extended delivery time to customers.
    5. Legal risks due to some employees' derogatory comments about customers and employees.

    Advice to Management

    1. Review your systems of operation. Identification of areas needing improvement is required to achieve secure growth.
    2. Find inefficiencies and pursue methods for prevention of wasted efforts and potential data loss.
    3. Look at your employees' resumes. You have talent that you are not seeing.
    4. Contact customers to make sure professional interface is maintained at all levels of communication.

    Pros

    Family atmosphere among production employees.

    Cons

Lack of strong supervisory figures. Work has been really slow in the past year or so resulting in layoffs. No noticeable respect or appreciation for hard workers.

    Advice to Management

When you have a good worker, hold onto them. Maybe invest in some leadership training for those in supervisory positions.

I have been working at UEC Electronics full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

UEC is a great company! It goes beyond and looks past the word employee but instead uses the word family. We work at competitive wages, benefit and given the opportunity to grow and are provided with relief from the work scene by being provided with etc touches such as, company functions (picnics,Christmas parties, employee of the month, opportunities to help others in need through their charity program) just small touches that give a warm and welcoming environment. I would like to commend HR and management for stepping up to the plate in these areas as well.

    Cons

None in my opinion, I am blessed to working for them.

    Advice to Management

Continue the great work by providing resources through HR and other supporting departments.

I worked at UEC Electronics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Smart, competent, and friendly employees. Everyone seemed to be qualified for their positions. UEC often held events outside of the office such as a spring picnic and a Christmas party. There were also many events at the office like a chili cook off, a lucky charms breakfast on St. Patrick's as well as cookout with the managers making the food for everyone.

    Cons

When I was there the company was going through a lot of growth and they sometimes struggled to keep up with the demand.

I worked at UEC Electronics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people. The small company vibe it has.

    Cons

The place is extremely cliquey and if you don't reside in a cliques or recognize the cliques' political dominance, prepare to suffer. They also have several safety issues that weren't being fully addressed while I was working there. They have very little infrastructure to run programs the way they should be; one simply doesn't engineer the world with Excel.

    Advice to Management

Break the cliques and look openly and honestly at HR and the job they do and don't do. You may or may not see it but folks are walking on eggshells.
