Pros

The pros of working for VIP is that you can pad your paycheck because no one wants to work there and it free up a massive amount of overtime.

Cons

Widespread nepotism creates an uneven and uncomfortable work environment. Many staff members are connected through family or personal relationships, which often results in unequal treatment and limited opportunities for employees who are not part of those networks. Resource allocation is poorly managed. Programs frequently run out of essential supplies, even at sites that receive substantial funding. This leaves both staff and clients without basic necessities for extended periods. High turnover and lack of structure. The organization experiences constant staff departures, and many roles lack clear guidance or consistent leadership. This instability makes it difficult to provide quality services. Recent restructuring highlights deeper issues. Organizational changes appear to stem from long‑standing mismanagement rather than strategic improvement, and the underlying problems remain unresolved. Food and supply vendors are chosen based on cost rather than quality. This disproportionately affects vulnerable populations who rely on these services. Leadership culture is unhealthy and unsupportive. Staff who advocate for clients or raise concerns often feel dismissed or targeted. Reports of favoritism or workplace issues are not handled transparently, and employees may fear retaliation for speaking up. Workplace morale is extremely low. Many employees feel trapped, unsupported, and overwhelmed due to the lack of professionalism, organization, and accountability at multiple levels of leadership.

The higher salary is harder to find in other places.

Cons

Supervisors and leadership that berate and degrade their staff. HR team that is extremely incompetent and unresponsive. Toxic workplace environments that are filled with rudeness, passive aggression, and expectations with no training. 0 room for growth. Did not give me my final paycheck.
