    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Vector Security full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Equal opportunity employer. Willingness to trust anyone for input. Trying to keep up with the pace of technology albeit very slow.

    Cons

Rarely takes the input from employees and uses it. Does not invest in talent, both current and potential. Very cheap company when giving raises.

    Advice to Management

Restructure leadership. Need new faces and ideas. Promote the right people. Git rid of the good ole boy network. Quit bragging that your a 3% increase compensation company when no one is doing that anymore. Learn how to invest in the right things/people by taking risks. Otherwise, ADT will end up with all your talent and clients.

    Pros

Some good co-workers who care but they are the few that remain

    Cons

CEO has no vision and company is floundering.
Terrible hiring at executive level positions.
Worst paying company in the industry for Sales and Techs, even ADT is better.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your employees. From top down the communication is terrible.

    Pros

Earning potential is there in Sales Rep position.

    Cons

Departments do not work well with one another. Installation team has many unprofessional tendencies. It's hard to build relationships with your customers when install and service ticks them all off.

    Advice to Management

Get some professional mangers that can make good decisions

I worked at Vector Security full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Meeting new people. Learning about the security industry, technology, and alarm systems. Free lunch in offered in the office sometimes.

    Cons

Turnover rate was high. Most people only worked to receive guaranteed 3-month salary. Anybody was hired to do sales. Hard to attain sales with no marketing tools. Everyone mostly had ADT and security through cable companies. Living on a commission only job, while expected to work 6 days a week is insane. I do not care how well you do in sales. Watched others that worked in sales hardly get any sales with this company. Worst unprofessional incompetent management team. Disrespectful towards women in this role. Good ole boy mentality.

    Advice to Management

None because they do not listen. Surprised they are still in business.

I worked at Vector Security full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Co-workers are smart and driven. Medical benefits are affordable and first rate.

    Cons

Career growth can take 5+ years even if you're performing well, management is slow to make changes for new processes, C suite is disconnected from day to day operations and what people on the ground need to improve.

    Advice to Management

Provide an unfiltered view of what is actually needed to help improve relationships with customers. Work on creating more growth opportunities for employees who want to see their careers advance.
