Pros

Talented colleagues, some nice to work with.

Cons

Where do start. Let me first start off by saying the company has a way of attracting employees, contractors, vendors and clients with a shiny, penny - all seems great, including opportunities, perks, upward movement and on the client end that they basically can get anything in the world through Visualhouse. Let me just tell you this is all BS sales. On the client side: clients are promised all kinds of team support, capabilities, resources, etc. Not to say the company doesn't have talented people, but definitely clients are overpromised on timeline, resources and what they will get out of it for the lack of people the company really has. It's a small agency that pretends like they have offices around the world when in fact they may have just had a contract employee, vendor or opportunity in that location. Employees all worked tirelessly to finish projects that were overpromised only to have the clients realize the timeline was unrealistic or the capabilities in that time frame. It seemed they were also given the impression they would get more deliverables, from their budget when that wasn't the case. At the end of the day, many clients retired their partnerships with Visualhouse after project work was done only have have it redone by other firms using company's work. Not to say clients were never wrong, but there are some iffy expectations that were made early on that eventually caused issues. Vendors and contractors. Wow! Seems like a great gig until you realize you'll never get paid either partially or ever. Whether you are a visualizer or creative freelancer, they pretty much screw you over. In fact, when VH was in a tough financial position, employee found themselves taking pay cuts to help pay for some vendor bills. Unfortunately as you can imagine, ruins so many relationships and affects everyone, including clients. Employees (read in detail): no support on overwork, then the client is not properly communicated to, just bad all around. When hired, you are promised all these perks but it's all BS. Management is just terrible! There is no mentorship, no support - only a toxic environment. Not only do they allow bullying and harassment, they do it themselves. I've worked for a huge variety of people and this company by far has the biggest good ole boy environment. Also notorious for telling people what they want to hear to get them out of their faces for awhile and constant lie about everything. They also put you in a bad position and get you to lie for them as well. Also, if you think you'll ever get any kind of fair salary, forget it. Way below industry standard and poor benefits. The biggest perk is leaving at the end of the day until you realize you have to do it all again tomorrow. I think a big part of it the client industry needs to change as a whole but not a good excuse for any of it. It's a shame that talent and art get run over by politics. Very happy to have found better brands to work for.

Pros

I’ve been with VisualHouse for seven years, and it has been an incredibly positive experience throughout my time here. The team is genuinely supportive, collaborative, and always willing to help one another. There’s a strong sense of camaraderie that makes coming to work enjoyable. One of the things I value most is the opportunity for growth. I’ve been encouraged to develop new skills, take on new challenges, and continue learning within the company. Management truly wants employees to succeed and provides the guidance and support needed to progress professionally. Overall, it’s a friendly, growth-focused environment where hard work is recognized and development is encouraged. I’m grateful to be part of such a positive and supportive workplace.

Cons

As with any growing company, processes can sometimes evolve quickly, which can take time to adjust to.
