I worked at Vituity Practice Management (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    • Great location if you live in the east bay
    • Flexible hours/wfh options
    • Good cause - great doctors to support
    • Good 401k

    Cons

    • BELOW MARKET SALARIES - almost comical. Promotions take forever (1+ year after the initial conversation to even see any kind of change).
    • Outdated systems and processes. Despite bringing on new systems, management often chooses the most affordable option (i.e. the already outdated one).
    • Too many people in management that are not qualified but because they have been with the company forever.
    • They say they want innovation but don't really support innovations with $$$. Lots of talk is the name of their game.
    • Some departments are solid and others are a total mess.

    Advice to Management

    • Hire leadership with real business acumen and visionary ideas.
    • Pay your employees what they are worth and a salary that is competitive in the Bay Area.
    • Promote fairly based on skill and merit - not favoritism.
    • Hold management accountable.

I worked at Vituity Practice Management full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits (best 401k plan I have ever seen)
    Open, transparent organization
    Many social opportunities with co-workers
Communication is good (but can always be improved)
Very strong culture and sense of belonging

    Cons

Vituity is experiencing growing pains (victim of its own success?). Management is building and changing infrastructure and processes as Vituity rapidly grows in size and in new practice lines (no easy feat, like building a dam in the middle of a raging river). This can be a bit overwhelming for some employees who have been there for many years before this radical growth spurt (Can you teach an old dog new tricks?). It has become more impersonal and less of a family-feel as it was when there were ~100 employees. Is bigger necessarily better? I am not really sure.

    Advice to Management

Continue with the good communication channels and being responsive to the hard questions from employees. Hire in the expertise rather than try to grow from within.
