Pros

I like the direction Wall-tech is going with preconstruction and working on issues early. I love the summer work hours.

Cons

Communication needs to be improved between the office and the field. The changes on the jobsite doesn’t get to office fast enough. Advice: Keep promising faster construction times, but make sure you bring in the pm first before you overcommit. Bring back the employee parties and cookouts.

Pros

Very progressive company doing innovative things with prefab construction. The team has fun, and really seems to care about each other and doing the right thing for the customer.

Cons

Very demanding customers that make it stressful at times.

Pros

Great opportunities to network in the Construction Industry. Decent pay and benefits package.

Cons

President doesn't have a set focus and things are everchanging, whichever new book or consultant comes in is the new direction. Many changes, nothing sticks. High expectations for the employees to conform without proper training, guidance or support. Newer management leads by fear. Overall, company is not financially managed properly.

Thank you for the review. I love this comment. We get it, change is hard. Life and business is full of full of change and how we embrace change or fight change is critical for survival. We embrace change at Wall-tech and even prefer to lead change if we can. We are definitely not perfect. Sometimes we don't get it right on the first try. Sometimes, we need to modify the plan and continue with the change initiative. However, sometimes we try and by trying we learn something more about it that causes us to pause and question the change. Through change (whether failed change or successful change) we are still learning, growing, and getting better. We are not standing still waiting for the bus. Are we invested in the change for change sake, or really trying to make an improvement to become better? One of our core values is "true grit" where we meet challenges with hard work, determination and perseverance. We look for strong people that are proactive and take initiative. High expectations should not be a negative. They come with guidance, support, training, and yes kindness! However, without individual grit and determination, it may appear very different.
