    Pros

Great job. Wonderful co-workers. Best company to work for in town. I can see myself making this place my lifetime career.

    Cons

Middle management seems to be lacking in the leadership area. Employees that push to become more tend to be pushed aside rather than embraced.

    Advice to Management

Give your employees more opportunities to grow. Don't hold them back.

    Pros

Love the culture and the efforts by all levels of management to build a great team.

    Cons

Size sometimes limits opportunities at times when employees are ready. Some of the VPs and CEO are gone a lot.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Watchfire Signs full-time

    Pros

Nice environment, a lot of great co-workers

    Cons

Executive management claims to care about its employees, but just goes through the motions. There are a lot of good Managers and a lot of good people at Watchfire Signs Just beware of the HR Department. It is unprofessional at best. They discuss confidential information in the open, the Director is unsupervised and picks and chooses how to interpret policy, she has been allowed to run off the best people we had.

    Advice to Management

Get more involved! Pay more attention so that you know what is actually going on.

I worked at Watchfire Signs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Newer manufacturing facility and offices; the work is interesting; compensation is competitive for the local market

    Cons

Often more time spent "putting out fires" than doing strategic work. "Promotion from within" necessary because of the high rate of turnover. Management decisions were often erratic or contradictory, leading to a tense work environment. Teamwork talked about a lot, but not executed well. Negative culture.

    Advice to Management

More coordinated, logic-driven decision making and transparency would benefit the organization. Placing employees in competition with one another leads to a toxic work environment.

I have been working at Watchfire Signs full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very team focused, lots of opportunities for growth and training.

    Cons

Someone rigid structure, could be a little more lax on things like dress code, especially for engineers.

    Advice to Management

Make the atmosphere a little more relaxed, you'll attract younger talent if we ease up on the old time business practices such as the business casual dress code.

I have been working at Watchfire Signs full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Watchfire offers great benefits, compensation, and opportunities for internal growth. We are involved in the community through volunteering, donation opportunities, and sponsorships.

    Cons

Some long-time employees have very few expectations placed on them by their immediate management and don't seem to be very productive.

    Advice to Management

Require greater accountability from middle managers when it comes to the strength, cohesion, and productivity of their teams; it's frustrating to pick up the slack for people who are getting a free pass.
