    Pros

Rank and file employees are hardworking, good people.

    Cons

Very old school in many ways. Work from home and dressing casual was looked down upon and usually not allowed. Suck up to the President and get rewarded. Senior execs paid well and others not so much.

Excellent tech in a company serving a duopoly-structured global market.

    Cons

Senior management is cutthroat. 60 hours+ per week. One miss and you are out.

I worked at Wayne Fueling Systems full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexible with time off, adequate vacation time. People at the lower levels are good people, just looking to be treated fairly.

    Cons

Deep Silos. Top Management Heavy, No room to move up, Good Old Boy Network, Front Line management is the REAL Management dealing with very low paid workers no support from upper management who cannot be bothered.

    Advice to Management

If GE can see it, why can't you? Advise word mouth spreads fast, and it seems everyone knows, so why keeping hiding your head in the sand thinking it will all just go away?

I worked at Wayne Fueling Systems full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There used to be pros when this company used to be part of GE. The benefits were still good though but there's not room for career growth.

    Cons

All the good leaders are gone and the CEO is driving must of the talent away. Poor technology and processes. Aggressive culture and the old Wayne people are just closed minded. Many people have left since GE sold the business, they lose a lot of good people every month and the new ones seem unhappy

I have been working at Wayne Fueling Systems full-time

    Pros

Big enough to move the industry, yet small enough that an individual can make a real difference here. I've worked at much larger companies where no matter what you do, it's hard to really have an impact. Not true here.
The executive team is visible, engaged, approachable, and sincerely cares about the business and the people that make it happen. The CEO and VP's know the names of most everyone it seems.
Also the CEO and the VP's communicate frequently with the organization through town hall meetings of various kinds, round table meetings, blogs etc. It's great to hear what's going on in different parts of the company, and they make that easy.
Wayne is also a great combination of technology company (software, electronics, and hydraulics) that leads with innovation, but also a strong manufacturing and sales company as well.

    Cons

There are a lot of folks that have been at Wayne for a long time. That's both a good and bad thing. It shows it's a great place to work, but also sometimes folks can be resistant to change.
There's a bit too much silo type thinking across functions but I do see that improving.
Also, there's a bit too much passive aggressive behavior with folks saying they're on board or will do something, but then don't actually do it.

    Advice to Management

Demand strong performance and accountability from the team. Don't accept less. Change where needed. Wayne is a great company and while I've seen great progress in the last year or so, there is much more we can do.

    Pros

The employees are the reason that makes the Company a pleasure to work for.

    Cons

The thing that hurts most of the employees that work there is the conversion time from contractor to full time is based on a percentage. Believe the percentage is 70 - 30.

I have been working at Wayne Fueling Systems (More than a year)

    Pros

The company offers insurance, matching 401K.

    Cons

Decisions by management in reducing vacation days when converting people to hourly, taking away differential pay when taking a vacation. Do not promote from within.

    Advice to Management

Offer the opportunity to promote from within as well review how taking away some of the little things is affecting moral.
