The most surprising part of the recent high-profile scandals is how surprised people were. That behavior can be found in all facets of entertainment, including country music, and more specifically at Webster PR.
The owner and CEO, who is prone to intense episodes of anger, depression, and anxiety, runs his business using fear, intimidation, and harassment. I'm fully aware of the difference between a bad boss and a hostile work environment, and I am not exaggerating in my accusation of Webster PR as a hostile work environment where employees are subject to sexual harassment, sudden and inappropriate anger outbursts, constant deconstructive criticism, extreme mood swings, discrimination, and severe and pervasive behavior that creates a volatile and unstable environment, making it impossible for employees to do their jobs.
There is no HR and no one to file a complaint with, resulting in a feeling of hopelessness among the overworked, under appreciated and minimally-paid employees, who rarely make it more than 6 months (there's an entirely new staff at least once a year due to turnover). Employees are constantly told to "start looking for another job" and called degrading and abhorrent names which cannot be posted on this site due to their community guidelines.
The insanely paranoid boss, along with upper management, who can best be described as complicit, is a pathological liar who lacks remorse, shame, impulse control or a conscience. He's incapable of anything but self-serving relationships and partnerships, completely lacks empathy, cares only for himself and his bank account and lacks the ability to treat other people as human beings.
In short, he's disrespectful and deceitful not only to employees, but also to clients, and I truly hope one day the truth about him comes out.
