Pros

Working at Weekendesk was an enriching experience. The company fosters a great work environment with supportive colleagues, strong leadership in Human Resources, and excellent opportunities for professional growth. I particularly appreciated the investment in new technologies and tools that made daily work more efficient and innovative. Overall, it was a place where collaboration and development were strongly encouraged.

Cons

While my overall experience was positive, one of the main challenges was the lack of transparency in decision-making. Top-level management often implemented major changes without consulting teams, leading to confusion and frequent reorganizations. This instability sometimes made it difficult to plan ahead and stay aligned with company goals. In addition, it's hard to progress in some positions.

Unrealized potential

Pros

low meeting rate, friendly FE team.

Cons

Inexperienced and absent management, low code quality, bad code reviews, absence of good will from other teams to deliver top notch specs. I was asked to literally delete 90% of customer accounts by the principle engineer to save a very small amount of time and money because "most customers are not returning", seems crazy but true, I still can't wrap my head around this event. I created a needed innovative solution, but it remained unused because it required professionalism and decency to finish specifying and implementing. I was given a new project, as a senior Dev, I was not happy that the tech stack was decided by someone that will not touch the project (bad stack), then considering this tech stack isn't efficient, I couldn't meet the deadline which was decided long before I even heard of the project, if you want an example of how not to manage senior devs, that was it. This company can't keep senior devs more than 6 months. Please Glassdoor, I'm tired of waiting for you to validate my opinion, stop censoring, I will just add more details, which will not favor this company.
