    Pros

I've worked for several companies since Workiva and Workiva was more pro than con. I genuinely thought about going back several times. Healthcare, benefits, people are all really good. This company has good morals

    Cons

lack of movement and need in the market but definitely wish I would have stayed longer.

    Advice to Management

create movement and paths for your employees, especially the qualified ones.

I have been working at Workiva full-time

    Pros

Workiva's software is innovative, and the company culture is great. I feel like I have the freedom to work when and where I need to. The company management structure is relatively flat, which is great because I get to work with some really experienced, upper level folks on a weekly basis

    Cons

Salaries seem a little bit low compared to the industry, but overall the benefits and workplace environment make up for it, and I'm able to maintain a work/life balance.

I worked at Workiva full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great product! Customers generally love it.

    Cons

Poorly managed. No strategic vision outside of simply throwing bodies at projects.

    Advice to Management

Revamp your sales and operations teams from top to bottom. Talent and ideology are stale and vision for growth and sustainability is pedestrian at best. Too many unqualified people in sweetheart positions making uneducated decisions that are ruining this potentially great company.

    Pros

Great Product with lots of market penetration, smart people that like to have fun while growing a real business.

    Cons

Zero Loyalty and if you are not part of the Iowa click you are not likely to be successful

    Advice to Management

Focus on maintaining the people who helped you build a great company

I worked at Workiva (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Product is great. Culture idea is great.

    Cons

Non-Iowa offices are micromanaged but not properly supported. PSM management is very old school and does not fit the projected company culture. Workloads are impossible. Too many managers and zero leaders with actual power. No support for professional development.

    Advice to Management

Listen during your soft-skills training. Promote people that will be respected by the people that work for them - not who you think will roll over for you. Try to be realistic about what you require and what people have going on. Help grow your people.
