I worked at XTO Energy full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They offer a Pension Plan and 401k

    Cons

Before EXXONMOBIL bought XTO it was an Awesome place to work but now no. Your just a number. It's STRICTLY CORPORATE. Those that were hitting retirement they forced out or let go. So miss Bob Simpson as Owner.

    Advice to Management

You need to care about your people .I understand business but to make your employees feel as though their working in a prison bootcamp. This needs to change

    Pros

At Xto you are a valued member of a team. The people that you work with are great hard working people.

    Cons

Starting to lose the xto family atmosphere. You are becoming more of a number rather than a valued team member.

I worked at XTO Energy full-time

    Pros

The pay is good, but that's pretty much it.

    Cons

There's a shocking lack of diversity. It's pretty homogenous all the way up to the management level. It's obviously not something anyone at the company cares too much about. The good ole boy's club is alive and well at XTO also. Opportunity is not merit based. It depends more on if you fit the homogenous mold.

    Pros

Before XOM you weren't just number, family culture.

    Cons

XOM bought XTO and was never the same, always a number. Had to be in the good boy network to get anywhere.

    Advice to Management

Not have 7 guys that all went to High school working in the same Department most which are mid to upper level positions.

Decisions more likely to be made from the top. More and more becoming Like it's Mother company, ponderous and in-efficient.
