I have been working at ZT Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

In my career not many companies that I have worked for have been inspiring friendly hardworking, caring and passionate about what they do. Customer Service is a top priority without sacrificing its employees. I feel truly valued and look forward to my career with ZT.

    Cons

For the employee cafeteria, I wish the food was fresher and healthier. It would be great to have options such as a juice, yogurt or salad bar. And grab and go meals such as sushi, wraps, fruit so you don't have to wait. An espresso cart in the buildings where folks could order an espresso, cappuccino in the mornings and afternoons with seating to have a chat away from our desks..

    Advice to Management

I would suggest professional development courses such as, time management, 7 habits, public speaking. Thank you for all you do for our teams.

    Pros

Company supports service projects. We had a nice dinner in Austin and rode a chartered bus to Houston to help at a Charity that supports feeding less fortunate people. We took a full day off from work, fully paid, to do this. This was inspired by Hurricane Harvey.

    Cons

Cant think of any right now.

    Advice to Management

    Keep building the Austin team!

I have been working at ZT Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work hours in engineering are 9 to 6 m-f no OT expected
    It’s hard to get fired
In engineer free soft drinks ( unhealthy)
    Lunch is subsidized

    Cons

No flexibility in schedule, if sick you cant work from home, must take PTO and you only get 15 including sick days.
You only get 6 public holidays. Only one day the thanksgiving .
    IT department is lacking resources
Office supplies are hard to get.
    No career progression plan
    No employee training provided
    Lack of management structure
    Ethically challenged
No performance based reviews or raises

    Advice to Management

Rethink team and structure , presenting 5 pillars is insulting when the directors giving example are not following them at all . Employees are not stupid sheep.

I have been working at ZT Systems full-time

    Pros

I guess it looks good on you resume.

    Cons

    1. Management is BIAS... a lot of favoritism goes around. so if you aren't liked then you're screwed.
    2. Mostly all people here are Chinese (straight from China), maybe 75% of them. SO most of them do not speak English and it might be hard to communicate with them.
    3. Strict culture > NO Flex with hours, you are required to stay here from 9-6 with 1 hour MANDATORY lunch (which isn't helpful to people who eat at their desks)
    4. Secretive - you can't share certain info with other co-workers even though we work in the same company (we're all a team)
    5. Bonuses are BIAS
    6. Salary is LOW. you work long hours (45 hour work week)
    7. VERY DRY CULTURE. get your work done and get out type of place. if you're looking to be friends here, you won't succeed. There's a lot of favoritism and spies around that will rat you out to management. so be WARY and careful of who you share info with.
    8. This place is CHEAP... they will give you "free food" once in a while and it will be from the "pizza place" downstairs... which is bad food and cheap.
    9. Your view of this building would be of a "dump". Literally next to a giant swamp.
    10. Work like a zombie.
    11. False lies from management about how this company treats you well and "appreciates you"... complete BS. Do not fall for that.
    12. HORRIBLE COFFEE! they use the Cheap kind if you're a coffee fiend.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better. They're not livestock or animals. They all have lives outside of work, so be lenient with hours. It's not necessary to work 45 hours a week and not get paid enough. This is NOT China (which is old school labor). We should have some flex there. There should be more perks (stocked food in kitchen, maybe get a cappuccino maker, make this place a bit more friendly).

I worked at ZT Systems (More than a year)

    Pros

A lot of overtime with free water and soda

    Cons

If your not Asian/Chinese you have no place for growth, this is sweat shop for illegal immigrates. low wages. Rude Mgt with no respect for the workers worst place to work. They run this place like a prison. 90% of the work force doesn't speak English.

    Advice to Management

You have to better for the employees, have respect for the employees.
