Pros

eInstruction works in the educational technology market, which is a fun and exciting market to be a part of.

Cons

This company was purchased by a private equity company a few years ago and it's been downhill ever since. The equity company does not want to invest the profits back into the company as their purchase of the company was highly leveraged. They are constantly cost cutting to wring as much profit as possible, so they can pay back their huge debt. The recently consolidated their offices in another cost cutting move and are constantly laying off experienced people in favor of lower priced, inexperienced people. They have also lost significant market share over the past two years, so their place in the K-12 educational market is very uncertain. Of course as the market share has decreased, so has their overall revenues.

Pros

Company mission is a good one: to help educators succeed The office building is a good facility

Cons

Senior executive team (all men) seem to be egotistical micro-managers who love to get involved in the details, while the entire organization is hungry for company strategy, direction, vision or focus. Employees are not trusted to do their job. Approval is required for everything. Promises by management are made, then broken. Low morale. No vision, strategy, or direction is communicated. The only thing we see are goals like "increase employee engagement" or "hit revenue goals in K12 worldwide"

Pros

Some of the co-workers cared. Had a good location near restaurants in Scottsdale. Freeway close. Decent seating and the facilities were well managed.

Cons

Unhealthy place to work from day one. Leadership is non-existent. Product Management and Execs are a all talk. PMMs and CTO are unable to imagineer, nor understand what matters most to customers. Executive commitment to product quality an after thought.
