Pros

1) Some have an option to work from home 2) Operational employees are great people

Cons

1) TERRIBLE PAY! Stay away unless you want to work for peanuts. Analyst position = $35,000 2) Job description will not represent your actual responsibilities 3) New responsibilities are added without compensation 4) Management is resistant to raises and rejects requests to discuss them 5) No performance reviews (I believe this is done on purpose to prevent an opportunity to ask for a raise) 6) Zero work/life balance 7) You are seen as a "paid asset" that can be utilized for whatever management wants you to do without regard to your skills or interest in the responsibility. 8) You will easily work 10 hours and upwards of 12-16 hr days with no overtime 9) One person for HR that simply sources new employees, and frequently, due to high turnover.

Pros

The building and facilities are nice.

Cons

The leadership team is hopeless, the HR department is non existent. Be prepared for random firings as the company is strapped for cash. They don't care about their clients and they really don't care about their employees. You'll essentially work in a passive aggressive environment, and could get fired simply because the wrong person doesn't like you. There's no hands on management, and you will constantly have to change directions. You will not be treated with respect if you work here.

Unfortunately people turn to post negative comments publicly when they have been terminated for performance. We have a solid team of individuals that are enthusiastic about what it is the they do, work hard and are accountable for their performance and expect the same of others, and people that are genuinely helpful and pleasant to work with. iControl is a rapidly growing company and therefore it has a very fast paced environment. There is very little down time, the work is challenging, there are multiple projects at any given time and it is exciting. It can be deeply rewarding to see how your work impacts the team and company overall in real time, but for some, it can be uncomfortable and overwhelming. While we are patient with employees, we sometimes have to make difficult decisions to move in a different direction, as we did in this case.

90% Middle Management

Pros

Are you a middle manager looking to spend all day on Go To Meeting while working from home? iControl is for you.

Cons

Analysts are given a tremendous work burden, iControl saw a wave of departures in 2017 and none of the analysts where replaced, leaving the main department with only 2 analysts. Upper management feels the need to hire absolutely nobody and feels like they can scale their growth by nickle and diming their suppliers while misleading their retailers. It's a recipe for disaster. But don't worry, the emperor has magnificent clothes! iControl gets all sorts of awards and signs all kinds of partnerships! I suspect the company cuts deals to get these awards, but I digress.... The payments business is a good business to be in, but within the last year iControl has created a ton of bad PR with the supplier community through service fees on payments. This is in addition to the millions generated from the retailers and is extremely greedy.

iControl is a fast paced environment, which works well for people who are persistent, curious and self-motivated. The assessment of this individual is grossly inaccurate, as the company has over 20 analysts, and major recent awards such as 2017 mobile solution of the year, selected by PayPal at the Electronic Transaction Association conference; or being named to the Inc 5000 list; or to the Entrepreneur 360 list; cannot be "acquired" through cutting deals, they must be earned. While the company did raise fees in 2017, the increases averaged $1.07 per week per vendor.
