Pros

You get experience across multiple projects

Cons

The most talented people keep to themselves or leave. Awful people are rewarded as they cozy up to management and take credit for other people's work. Some anti-women policies. Too much politics that take a priority over quality work. Lots of late-night work. Clear favoritism.

Pros

Where is takes most companies a year or more to crank out a data warehouse, iPartners can start delivering components of the data warehouse, along with reporting within just a few weeks. iPartners may very well have the highest concentration of BI/DW developers in the Atlanta area. Working at iPartners is very much like being a consultant. You are working on individual customer projects (multiple at a time) and each one is different and has its own challenges. In the end, iPartners is able to deliver Business Intelligence as a Service to their customers and really make a difference in the life of users at these insurance carriers. For instance, it might take 30 seconds to pull up a report which they previously had to spend hours on each month to produce. I love hearing those stories!

Cons

You are working on multiple projects at once. This means you have to carefully manage your time and customer expectations, though as a developer you have account managers and project managers to help with that. Because of this, the job isn't for everyone. Maybe this isn't a con... it just means that you will NOT be bored.

Pros

There are many clients that have various designed DW solutions. The tools that are used are great. A handful of employees are helpful. They had free sodas.

Cons

There is no work-life balance. There is no training. Oh, they say they do, but it is a quick do this then do this type of conversation then expect you to run with it from there, Management. Please. If they did not own the company none of them would have a management job. Poorly structured company.
