Pros

Fast paced, great free food, some amazing and lovely people to get through the hard times, keeps you challenged and developing. Amazing socials and good rewards for doing well, eg. Trip to Japan for employees of the year. Good bonus.

Cons

No room for promotion due to structure, pay lags behind market (as other reviews say) and talented people often do not pass probation as are not given good support. High blame culture & micromanagement, particularly in the sales team. A full review of pay structure is needed - the business is now at a size where formal bands should be introduced. Not much in the way of understanding people have a life outside of work - quite inflexible WFH policy and encouragement to come in when sick (or take the day off- not flex to WFH). Nowhere to go to have lunch anymore so you have to sit at your desk.

Pros

Opportunity to get involved in some great projects. Good for the CV. Free itsu lunch.

Cons

Talented people regularly do not pass their 6 month probation at itsu (grocery) - be aware of this before you think of joining. Even if you have been a star performer at previous roles, it is worth noting that there is no training or proper onboarding so trying to be great at your job is very challenging. Very poor processes - a lot of information exists inside someone's head, rather than on shared systems. Some managers are really great, others are not... no management training is available. Very high workload - feeling overwhelmed is the norm in this culture.
