“AH4R streamlines the experience of finding a family-friendly home, applying for and signing a lease, and answering maintenance requests for residents. It’s a progressive, technology-enabled property manager that keeps resident needs top of mind and makes conscious investments in underserved communities. And underlying all of this good intention is solid technology.” Box spoke to our Chief Technology Officer Philip Irby about how we’re securing unstructured data, centralizing content, moving tens of thousands of contracts through the cloud, and more, to radically simplify the leasing experience for thousands of households across America. This week, we announced our investment in Liberty Village, a planned affordable housing development for veterans and first responders in Mooresville, North Carolina, where residents will have access to services to help them reintegrate into the community. As Liberty Village’s first corporate partner, we’re committed to supplementing our $50,000 gift by raising a matching donation from our vendors to assist in realizing the town’s vision of building a “place where our residents care for each other, especially our veterans and heroes.” Learn more about the project:
We’re proud to share news of a significant philanthropic investment by our CEO David Singelyn and his family in California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, “a nationally recognized leader in higher education innovation and social mobility — twin missions that resonate with the Singelyns.” The endowed gift will expand the graduate program's offerings and fund scholarships, including supporting Ph.D.-track students from underrepresented groups to help further diversify faculty. "As of fall 2022, 60 percent of students enrolled in the Cal Poly Pomona College of Business Administration identify as first-generation and 55 percent as ethnic minorities." This fall, we've expanded our partnership with Tech Impact to support their CXWorks program, an eight-week workforce development immersion that offers free customer experience career training to young adults in the Las Vegas community. To help students learn the skills and knowledge required to graduate ready for call center positions, we hosted a group of their interns onsite for an interactive workshop that included behavioral and communication exercises led by our experts. Thanks to our Human Resources team for facilitating the event, and congratulations to this bright graduating class!
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we hosted a mobile Mammovan at our corporate office to provide preventative screening to our team onsite at their convenience. Thank you to the Nevada Health Centers and the North Las Vegas Fire Department for supporting the fight against breast cancer and facilitating this essential health service at our workplace.
In the wake of Hurricane Ian, we’ve been working hard to be there for our residents and neighbors in the Southeast. In addition to quickly mobilizing to repair impacted homes, we donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross and other charitable organizations to support the local communities, while our employees in Florida and South Carolina volunteered to assist with clean-up efforts and material donations to households in need through various nonprofits. We were honored to support and join the Las Vegas Pride festivities this past weekend, during LGBT History Month. Thanks to all who stopped by our booth to meet the team and learn about our company, and especially to our LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group for driving our attendance!
"When Las Vegas-based American Homes 4 Rent sets out to build a new community of single-family homes for rent in the Orlando market, the company is noticing a common pattern: Tenants are leasing the homes before they’re even finished."
