“Hafa Adai and Kon’nichiwa!” Regional Recruiting Manager Anna Salas-Vandygriff celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with traditional greetings in her native languages from Guam and Japan. While raised in San Diego, she has been fortunate to visit her parents’ homelands and brings both cultures home to her family through traditional foods and celebrations. In the kitchen, she enjoys cooking authentic Chamorro dishes from Guam of chicken kelaguin, red rice, barbecue ribs and finadene sauce. On New Year’s Eve, Anna makes sukiyaki with her family to honor their Japanese culture. Throughout Anna’s 15 years with AMR, she feels blessed to have received the support of leaders who have mentored her. Anna strives to be that leader who, in turn, helps others reach their career goals. We are fortunate to have Anna as a team member, leading through a lens of collaboration and inclusion. Thank you, Anna! #AAPIHeritageMonth
This month, we pay tribute to generations of Asian and Pacific Islanders who have enriched America’s history and who continue to play an influential role in its future success. We celebrate the achievements and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, especially in the EMS field. We value our AAPI team members and shine a light on their accomplishments across GMR. #AAPIHeritageMonth
Yesterday was National Therapy Animal Day, or as we like to call, GMR Therapy Dog Day. We are thankful to our four-legged team members for the support (and cuteness) they offer our teams!
