We are pleased to announce the creation of the David M. Slott ARS Employee Assistance Foundation. Dave Slott, our former CEO, had a passion for the men and women of ARS and a strong desire to support them, in times of unexpected hardship, as part of an extended family. When Dave retired in 2021, he and his family wanted to partner with ARS to provide a mechanism by which the tradition of employee hardship support could be continued. Through generous donations, ARS and the Slott family have established an employee assistance foundation that will begin making grants in October 2022. ARS will also include this foundation as an eligible charity for directed giving via payroll deduction during our annual benefits open enrollment.
At ARS we value our employees and strive to make this a great place to work. For 2023, new benefits have been announced for our employees: ARS is committed to ensuring that all employees have access to excellent medical coverage at a reasonable price, so we are pleased to announce the following: • The payroll premium contribution for the CDHP Medical Plan, Employee Only tier of coverage, will be just $5 a week. The CDHP provides a base level of coverage that meets the needs of many ARS employees. • For employees who need a mid-range level of coverage, we’re pleased to announce a new CDHP Plus option. As a bonus to this new CDHP+ option, ARS will contribute to an HSA (Health Savings Account) to help pay for out-of-pocket costs you incur when seeking medical services. • We are enhancing the benefits of the PPO plan to include a lower deductible and out-of-pocket maximum, as well as a decreased PCP office visit copay and generic prescription cost. • The Kaiser HMO medical option, offered to employees in California, Oregon, and Washington, will now serve employees in Maryland, Virginia
