All of us face unexpected challenges in life, and sometimes these can create very difficult circumstances which mean we need to step away from or change how we work. That’s why we’ve announced a package of new policies to reassure all ASOSers that they will continue to be supported, personally and financially, throughout difficult times. The new policies provide support to colleagues who are going through important health-related life events such as a pregnancy loss or fertility treatment, the menopause, cancer treatment and gender reassignment surgery, reassuring them that we’re here, no matter what it is and every step of the way. The policies apply to ASOSers of all genders and circumstances and aim to increase awareness of the impact of common life events, break down taboos around these issues and help our colleagues take time off when it is needed. Our purpose is to give people the confidence to be whoever they want to be – and a big part of that is making sure our shopping experience is accessible for customers with disabilities. That’s why we conducted an accessibility audit on our website and app during 2018-19 and continue to learn more about this to make the ASOS shopping experience more inclusive ✅ From adding alternative text to images, to providing sound and captions on product videos and improving adaptability for keyboard-only users, the improvements aim to account for everyone’s unique needs and experiences.
