First up in our Meet the Team Series, Doug Mitchell - CEO and Co-Founder of Adfinitas! Dr. Doug Mitchell is a physician pioneer who possesses a strong business and clinical acumen. Doug sets the strategic direction for Adfinitas Health’s hospitalist leaders, practitioners, and operational teams. Doug was among the first to expand the role of hospitalists to include surgical and specialty medicine and to launch a training program for Advanced Practice Providers. He is dedicated to providing a work-life balance for the professionals he hires, and to creating an environment in which they feel fulfilled by their work. This is reflected in the company’s “culture of yes.” Introduced early on, this remains a strongly held core value that focuses on building deep interpersonal connections amongst the care team and being highly responsive to patients and clients while providing quality medical care. A board-certified internist, Doug has practiced hospitalist medicine since 1998. He completed his medical training at the Uniformed Services... (click link below to read full post).

Adfinitas Health would like to take the opportunity to recognize Mike Picozzo, one of our Physician Assistants at WILKES-BARRE GENERAL HOSPITAL. Recently, Mike was caring for a patient with a brain bleed in the ICU. The patients son reached out to Susan Diana, our Director of Operations for Pennsylvania, to praise Mike for the care and time Mike was spending with his mother. The son shared that his mother absolutely loves Mike – not just because of the excellent care he was providing, but because of the time Mike spent with her in the ICU. This past Monday was the anniversary of one of her sons death and being alone in the hospital was very difficult for her. Mike provided extra support by sitting down and listening to her that day. Taking that extra time made a huge impact on Mike’s patient and the patients family. Mike, we are proud to have you as part of the Adfinitas family. We appreciate your passion, commitment and dedication to your patients. Keep up the great work! #heroesworkhere
Adfinitas Health is excited to share that our very own, Dr. Reshma Modi, was unanimously voted onto the Board of the Mid-Atlantic Medical Directors Association (MMDA) at their annual meeting! This is well-deserved and we know MMDA will benefit from Reshma’s experience and knowledge of post-acute and long term care. Congratulations again, Dr. Modi!
Take a look at this great article written by Dr. Maulik Joshi, President and CEO of Meritus Health! It's a great article that sheds light on the pandemic - "We are going through hell, but let’s keep going." Dr. Joshi gives a special mention to Adfinitas Health's very own Dr. Elizabeth Otto. As stated in the article, "Otto and Markell are two of the thousands of providers and staff in our community who are putting out the fire, again and again. They each deserve to be named and thanked. Their suffering is big; their resiliency is bigger." Great read - be sure to check it out! #AdfinitasHealth #hospitalist #physician #pandemic #covid19
