On April 1, the AdventHealth corporate campus began a phased implementation of on-campus composting, taking a step toward diverting food waste and positively impacting the environment. “Waste reduction is an important aspect of our sustainability work and will help us achieve our goals outlined in our annual Sustainability Report. By diverting waste from landfills, we are creating a positive impact in our communities,” said Aleah Cutshall, sustainability program manager. In Phase Two, compost bins for food waste only will be available next to traditional waste bins throughout the corporate campus. In Phase Three, team members will dispose of food waste and compostable service ware in accessible compost bins.
Over 30 of our AdventHealth Corporate Team Members are currently serving on an 8-day meaningful journey to the Dominican Republic as part of our Corporate Services Mission & Ministry and AdventHealth Global Missions. While on this mission trip, team members are fulfilling two meaningful purposes in Santo Domingo: 1. Clinical Care: Volunteers will be offering health care services to the local community. We are partnering with Centro Medico Vista del Jardin, an AdventHealth Global Missions footprint since 2019. 2. Construction: Volunteers will also assist in the construction of a primary school in Ciudad Del Cielo, located in Santo Domingo. This construction project is in partnership with Maranatha, an organization dedicated to building a large pre-kindergarten through secondary school campus. We are so proud of our team members who are extending our mission in the Dominican Republic.

On March 27th, we hosted a Farmer's Market on the Corporate Campus. Our Cafe team Fresh Pointe fruit and vegetables for sale as well as smoothie samples - just one of many ideas for using our produce.
On Thursday, March 21st, AdventHealth's new Consolidated Service Center had a Grand Opening Team Member Celebration event. AdventHealth is taking another step toward reducing our carbon emissions and achieving our environmental sustainability goals with an on-site solar energy installation at the corporate campus. The Corporate Services region employs nearly 5,000 team members who work to support our system’s operations and care delivery across the country. Starting the week of March 18, the Maitland-based national solar developer ESA began working to install more than 7,500 solar panels on top of four buildings and two garages that comprise the corporate campus. Additionally, solar canopies will be constructed throughout the parking lot surface and additional electric vehicle charging stations will be mounted that can support 62 electric vehicles. “AdventHealth is pursuing sustainability initiatives that help ensure the long-term well-being of our team members, patients, communities, business and environment. This solar installation will help reduce our impact on the environment while demonstrating our commitment in a significant and tangible way,” said Christine Stewart, vice president of organizational integration and campus administration for AdventHealth.
Corporate Services team members came together at Town Hall on February 14 for our annual celebration of The Whole Care Experience. Whether team members joined us in person at Calvary Orlando or virtually, our theme of Lighting the Way reminded us how our light shines through when we live out our service standards. Our speakers shared how our mission is the driving force of our organization, directly connecting to the standards we uphold every day and the profound impact empathy and compassion have in our interactions. We also had the opportunity to recognize our Service Standards Recognition Awards Honorees for going above and beyond to embody our service standards.
