2022 has been the year we reconnected, gathered teams together and got comfortable with a new way of hybrid Smart Working. Our global events resumed and we had the best time being in eachother's company again! Our lovely film showcases some snippets of those events and office life at Alfa in all corners of the world. #WeAreAlfa #companyevents #worklife #culture #employeeengagement
Alfa Named #4 in Newsweek’s List of the UK’s Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces for 2022! This success is down to every single Alfa colleague. Everyone contributes to our fantastic culture and helps make us a great place to work. The work is never done - but celebrating this success feels pretty great!
We were at Reward Gateway's Engagement Excellence awards last night - having been shortlisted for the award for 'Change Leaders - Best Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy'. It was a beautiful evening and although we didn't bag the award, we are delighted to have been recognised in this category which is so important to us at Alfa Financial Software
Alfa's US Company Conference took place in San Francisco last week. A great day of meetings and presentations followed by the social stuff - a bike tour from San Fran to Sausalito and a fishing charter! A fabulous few days connecting with colleagues. #WeAreAlfa #conference #greatplacetowork #teamsocial

Every single day is different; you will never have two days the same. Work-life balance is respected. There’s built in time for all kinds of things, whether that’s innovation or CSR.’ #WeAreAlfa #techcareers #analyst #developer #gradscheme #employeestories #worklifebalance #greatplacetowork #CSR #ESG
Excited to open our new office in Uptown Dallas. The move to a larger suite gives us more meeting rooms and a great balcony. And with that, Smart Working for our Texas team has officially begun.
Each year, Alfa holds companywide ‘Hackathon’ events… bringing teams together, challenging everyone to think outside the box and get some great ideas really growing. Here’s the lowdown on how it works… Everyone’s invited! Alfa’s Hackathon is a time for all to work on something new. We’ve seen some incredibly useful, effective and time-saving solutions come out of previous Hackathons, many of which are now part and parcel of our everyday life. Prizes are up for grabs with teams competing for the best new idea, the most efficient and creative way to do something, or the most novel elimination of something we just don’t want in our lives anymore! Tomorrow’s second Hackathon Day is held off-site and each team delivers a two-minute presentation, which can be in the form of a demo, a proof of concept, or a story which sets the scene of the problem and how the idea conquers it. The rest of the company then votes for the winners in various categories. The event also weaves in some valuable social time – pizza and drinks seem to really fuel innovation at Alfa!
Meet Jack... sharing his thoughts on Alfa's culture - something we work hard to foster, although that wouldn't be possible without the amazing people we have in teams across the globe. We're growing as a business but keeping that 'small company feel' which is valued so highly by colleagues and clients alike. #WeAreAlfa #employeestories #greatplacetowork #lovemyjob #workfamily #employeeenaggement #officeculture
Last week our US Company Meeting took place in Michigan. We hosted colleagues at the Royal Oak Emagine Theatre for the meeting, followed by bowling, gaming and lunch. We then jumped over to Valentine Distilling Co for our evening outing.
Kushal joined Alfa through our Graduate Scheme last year and hasn't looked back! 'I looked around at a lot of Graduate Schemes - when the Alfa scheme opened I applied immediately, because the culture and social side of things really stood out to me. Alfa really looked at me as a person and didn’t need coding experience. They seemed so positive and less corporate than others. The training, support structures and onboarding felt really safe but also gave me confidence as we were doing valuable real work whilst learning. '
