We’re making the move to Smart Working ! We’re introducing Smart Working at Alfa, so colleagues will have greater autonomy as a team over where they work: it’s the best of both worlds… We will all have the flexibility to work from home, but will also benefit from the social aspects and collaboration of spending time in the office. At Alfa, we know that our colleagues have lives outside work. We know balance is sometimes tricky. We understand that everyone has commitments and responsibilities to look after. Our culture of working hard and having fun is centred around trusting colleagues to get the job done and that doesn’t necessarily mean being in the office for set hours. In a nutshell, all colleagues will be able to decide whether they want to work from home or from the office at any time. Work patterns are decided as a team and continuously reviewed to ensure changing needs are met.
Giving back is hugely important to Alfa. Our volunteering scheme means employees have three days a year to volunteer however they wish to spend this time. Happy Pride Month! This month, we'll be celebrating the LGBTQ+ community with internal events and blogposts to highlight LGBTQ+ stories and to create conversations with our Alfa colleagues about how we can support LGBTQ+ people both personally and professionally. This month, as every month, we wholeheartedly and unreservedly support all members of the LGBTQ+ community and the ongoing fight for equality.

We're delighted to be listed in MonitorDaily's inaugural Most Innovative Companies edition for our innovative culture! Innovation is at the heart of what we do at Alfa, and we haven't let the pandemic dampen our spirits! We were able to host our annual hackathon remotely in September 2020, and hold our regular innovation days online to keep the creativity flowing, even when we're not physically together.
