Andersen Corporation, America’s premier window and door manufacturer, announces that construction has begun on the new Renewal by Andersen manufacturing and distribution facility in Locust Grove, Georgia. Renewal by Andersen is the full-service window replacement division of Andersen Corporation, which manufactures, sells and installs an exclusive replacement window solution to customers across North America. On November 15, the company celebrated this strategic investment in its fast-growing replacement business with a ceremonial groundbreaking. The teams from Andersen and Renewal by Andersen were joined by Locust Grove Mayor Robert Price, Henry County Chair Carlotta Harrel and other state and local dignitaries to commemorate the occasion. “We are thrilled to be investing in a facility that will help us meet homeowner demand for our Renewal by Andersen® products and expand our footprint further into the southeast,” said Chris Galvin, Andersen Corporation president and chief executive officer. “Here in Locust Grove, Renewal by Andersen is building both a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and a place where individuals across a wide range of skillsets will be able to build meaningful careers. We are grateful for the support and warm welcome from the State of Georgia, Henry County, and the City of Locust Grove, and we look forward to growing in this community.”
Andersen has been recognized as one of 2023 America's Greatest Workplaces for Parents & Families by Newsweek, in the Energy, Resources and Industrials category. “We are honored to be recognized by Newsweek and this award is a testament to our dedication to fostering a workplace where all families can thrive. At Andersen, we believe that families come in all forms and we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment that recognizes and celebrates the diverse needs of our employees and their families,” said Chris Galvin, Andersen Corporation president and chief executive officer. Newsweek's ranking identified the top 800 companies in the United States for parents, single parents and families. The list is based on a large employer survey and a sample set of over 36,000 respondents who are parents/single parents working in the U.S. for companies that have at least 1,000 employees. The study collected, in total, over 224,000 company reviews of companies in the U.S. across all industry sectors. With a commitment to inclusive and equitable workplace policies, in 2022, Andersen expanded benefits eligibility to same- and different-gender domestic partners and their children. Additionally, the company updated its parental leave to include added flexibility — offering employees the ability to take their paid parental leave in one-week increments versus requiring employees to use it all at once.
The U.S. military has held a special place in Andersen's history for nearly a century. Andersen Corporation was recognized as a Yellow Ribbon Company by the Minnesota Department of Military Affairs, also known as the Minnesota National Guard, for its commitment to leveraging existing programs and building effective initiatives to support employee service members, veterans and military families. This proclamation builds upon Andersen's longstanding dedication to supporting military veterans, active duty personnel and the extended families who love, nurture and sustain them throughout their training and deployment. "At Andersen, we believe in working all together to make our company and our communities stronger. It's a privilege to join the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon program as an ardent supporter of veterans and military personnel who have dedicated their lives to selflessly serving our country," said Jay Lund, chairman and CEO of Andersen Corporation.
