I have been working at Andersen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Autonomy and flexibility are pros for Andersen. New ideas are listened to and embraced. Despite being fast paced it is a low pressure environment.

    Cons

Weak project management and lack of strategic planning seem to show up from time to time. More training for initiates would help also.

I have been working at Andersen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits and profit sharing. Friendly people. Corporate values that put customers, employees and environmental & community stewardship first. Opportunities exist for personal and developmental growth (if you can find the time)

    Cons

1990's era data management systems and siloed departments, and under staffing combined with ultra-aggressive schedules makes for very hectic work. Engineers end up spend a lot of time doing non-engineering work of other departments to meet schedules.

    Advice to Management

If you want to speed up development of new products, consider improving your IT, ordering, and manufacturing infrastructure to the 21st century instead of using brute force with too few people.

    Pros

Progressive, people development oriented organization with strong emphasis on results and employee satisfaction. Some of the best leaders I have had the pleasure of learning from on here

    Cons

No cons. Very process driven so it's not for everyone however the company manages to maintain a lean forward entrepreneurial spirit.

    Advice to Management

    Keep promoting from within.

I have been working at Andersen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The good thing is you get paid on time. There are times to get overtime.

    Cons

If you become good at your job you are not going to move on to another job should you want to. If you get injured you will still continue doing the same job as if nothing happened. If you are a production employee you are required to do multiple jobs, for the same amount of money.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees who have continued doing the same job. Give a bonus to those who perform their jobs very well. Give pay raises to those who do their jobs as well as other people's jobs at the same time day after day.

I worked at Andersen full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

This is a review of Weiland Sliding doors. The people are good and hard working, half day Fridays while it lasts. the checks don't bounce

    Cons

You will do the same job you were hired to do forever. no opportunity for advancement, you might get moved around a little and given more work but you will never be promoted.every open position is filled from outside.

work load is very heavy and you are expected to do everything very fast, this is a door and window company run like they are putting a man on the moon, lets face it there is nothing exciting about doors and windows.

after my 10 year anniversary i was presented a $10.00 gift card, thanks.

The office itself is a mess, old and too small. people are packed in to every space possible

Management will lie to you just to keep you around for a time, don't believe them, you will not be promoted.

everything that goes wrong will be your fault, not the managers. they will fire you if you make a mistake

the turn over is outrageous and the stress level is unbelievable.

    Advice to Management

promote from within, pretend like you care about hard work and dedication. stop overloading everyone and stop lying to the employees
