Associated Grocers sponsored Southern University's Elite Basketball Camp, Saturday, August 26th. The youth players' camp, held at the Mini Dome gave 50 up-and-coming players from Louisiana and Mississippi an opportunity to work on techniques and receive tips from Men's Basketball head coach Kevin Johnson and Southern's Men's Basketball players.
The wait is over! Associated Grocers held its first Employee Cornhole event on Thursday, June 29th. Over the last couple of months, employees have teamed up to play Cornhole within their departments to form a bracket to play against other AG-winning departmental teams. Retail Operations' Chris Ordoyne and Corey Hughes slid into first place with the grand prize of $750 Visa Gift Card for their team, the winners trophy, and of course...bragging rights!
Associated Grocers hosted two interns, Dev Hamilton and Henry LeBeuf this summer through a six-week program sponsored by East Baton Rouge Parish Schools Pathways to Bright Futures. The program aims to give high school seniors access to college careers and industry-based exposure through an internship in today’s workforce with a wage upon 155-hour completion.

On Saturday evening, March 24, 2018, a banquet was held to recognize Associated Grocers' Truck Drivers for Safe Driving and Perfect Attendance. Over 50 Truck Drivers were recognized at Saturday's event. "Let's make accident's history! Work Safe!"
