The New York Times profiles Axios and its plans to scale
Axios has been named to Forbes' list of "America's Best Startup Employers" for the second straight year! "The 500 companies on our list of America’s Best Startup Employers have had to pivot, attracting and engaging employees through virtual games, classes and support systems in a year unlike any other. Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to identify the up-and-coming companies liked best by their employees in our second-annual ranking of America’s best startup employers. The list was compiled by evaluating 2,500 American businesses with at least 50 employees on three criteria: employer reputation, employee satisfaction and growth."

Rather than guess what our employees need during this unprecedented time, we asked them (via pulse surveys and 1:1s). Based on what we learned, we: - Organized panels and resources to share best practices with our employees on how to WFH - Launched a $100,000 Family Fund to provide financial support for any Axion who needed it as a result of this crisis - Began offering a monthly Mental Health Day to recognize the importance of mental health during this time - Expanded our mental health care services to ensure employees could access therapy if they needed it - Evolved our commuter benefit into a WFH benefit of a $100/month stipend - Offered virtual meditation, yoga, and HIIT classes that we evolved into a subsidized Classpass benefit - Designed ongoing programming to engage employees and help them connect
