On Thursday, May 11, Benchmark employees from the Design Engineering and Talent Attraction teams in Arizona helped package 28,944 meals for children in Haiti and Ukraine. The 134 boxes that the team prepared will feed 79 children each day for a year. They participated in the event through Feed My Starving Children, a not-for-profit organization that brings together volunteers to hand-pack rice, soy, dried vegetables, and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags which are then sealed, boxed, placed on pallets and shipped to the neediest children around the world.
