Bloom Energy Drives Landmark Decarbonization with Ferrari Bloom Energy today set a new pace for Ferrari’s drive to achieve carbon neutrality in manufacturing by 2030, announcing a one megawatt (MW) installation of Bloom’s solid oxide fuel cells at Ferrari’s expanding manufacturing facility and headquarters in Maranello, Italy. The partnership with Ferrari, a global leader in the luxury and automotive sectors for 75 years, marks Bloom’s entry into the European Union and Italy and is the first step toward potentially larger projects between the two companies.

Meet the Bloom Energy Green Team🌎 Over a dozen employees and colleagues volunteered today to fund and plant trees. Working with local and state leaders including the mayor, our team planted more trees that help reduce CO2, absorb air pollutants and protect against flooding and soil erosion. Bloom Energy, Chantiers de l’Atlantique (CdA), and the cruise division of MSC Group announced plans to launch the first cruise ship operating on solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology. The MSC World Europa, a new state-of the-art cruise liner currently under construction at the CdA shipyard, will be fitted with 150 kilowatts of Bloom fuel cells. Bloom will provide auxiliary power to the ship through liquefied natural gas (LNG), one of the cleanest marine fuels available today.
