Boozt has blocked 45,000 customers in the fight against returned goods The battle against returned goods: Increasing e-commerce has also meant a growing amount of returned goods. The department store Boozt has since 2019 blocked thousands of customers who, according to the CEO, are abusing the right to return.
The most common question I get right now is "How did Black Friday go at Boozt?" The short easy answer is "Great!" and you can read the official statement in the last picture in this post but I wanted to share a little bit more "behind the scenes" (which also would act as an explanation for the radio silence from me through email, phone, sms or LinkedIn 😅 ). It is hard to keep track of exactly which weekday it is during this period but today for me it is Black Friday +7 😄 It has been an endless checking of monitors, dashboards, graphs, driving the E6 up and down through the snowy landscape, guiding around amazing people, checking electricity utilisation, balancing AutoStore™ cubes for the optimal output, discussing advanced charging and bin preparation tactics with Element Logic®, admiring how the platform logistic teams and the operation team cooperates and just see all the planning we have done being played out as an enormous game of chess. As you can see me and Ronni Funch Olsen have even packed some of the orders! The biggest applause goes out to all the warehouse operators who are experts in fulfilling our customer promise - they have been hustling around the clock in order to fight the backlog and getting the orders out. Just amazing work and I bow my head in appreciation ❤️ 👏 Click the link to continue reading
Our small initiative is moving forward. The third workshop on hashtag#ThreatModeling is done! This year, we introduced Rapid Risk Assessment to our developers. The idea was to improve our security practices, share responsibility evenly between all teams, and improve documentation connected with security. It was the first step to having a more extensive, up-to-date threat model and risk assessment for all systems and ensuring that developers use them. To move a little bit forward with initiative and get to the next step (threat modeling), we started short courses/trainings. A few weeks ago, we prepared a workshop to explain the concept of the threat model, present a wide range of tools, and compare it with risk assessment. We did it with a smaller group as a test run. Results were much better as people started understanding the idea and why we were doing it. We had fun with movie plotting and building our attack trees. The next step was to do follow-up workshops with small teams to learn about specific tools. We decided to use Adam Shostack's four-question frame with hashtag#STRIDE and hashtag#DREAD. Today, we closed a third session (second this week). During workshops, we explain each question/step in the frame and present examples. Explanations are followed with the execution of the step (creating a model, identifying threats, etc.). Teams select the system or process that they own. The first workshop finished as the knowledge share. Click the link to continue reading
Happy for the opportunity to join a recent roundtable discussion on the challenges we as businesses face when operating in the European single market and the key recommendations for its development. An insightful and enriching experience. Thanks to Håkan Jevrell and the Regeringskansliet, Utrikesdepartementet for making this happen and to Svenskt Näringsliv and Svensk Handel for the invite. I look forward to continuing the conversation and working towards the shared goal of enhancing the single market for the benefit of businesses and economies alike.
