  • About 300 local Dallas residents will receive Christmas gifts this year from CHRISTUS Health Associates! Catholic Charities identified almost 300 members of the community in need of some Christmas cheer and CHRISTUS Health Associates chose anonymous “angels” from a Christmas tree to help make their holiday a little brighter.

  • Welcome Home, Chris! We are so pleased to welcome Chris Karam, FACHE, as the new President & Chief Executive Officer of CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Health System! Chris will also serve as Senior Vice President of Group Operations for CHRISTUS Health ministries in Louisiana and Southeast Texas. Chris was born at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital and raised in Oakdale. He has over 35 years of experience in health care, a number of which were spent at CSFC. Most recently, he served as president and CEO of CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, TX, during which time the hospital earned numerous accolades and awards, including U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital in Texas in 2016 and 2017. Our CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini family looks forward to Chris’ dedication and passion for the area and people. We are excited for the future of health care in Central Louisiana, and welcome his positive and encouraging presence.

  • Meet Kevin Holland, President and CEO of CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana. He will oversee both CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital and CHRISTUS Ochsner St. Patrick Hospital. Holland and his family have moved to Lake Charles from Jackson County, Mississippi, where he spent almost 20 years with Singing River Health System, serving most recently as its CEO. His 23 years of experience in health care include work in operations, strategic planning, joint venture and business development, and in health plans. Please join us in welcoming him to SWLA!

Presented by the USDA and State WIC Program, the Gold Premier Loving Support Award recognizes agencies who provide exemplary breastfeeding promotion. Not only is CHRISTUS Health the only WIC agency in Texas to earn this award this year, it's just one of 12 WIC agencies in the country to earn it overall; which clinic officials called an honor to receive.
