Pilot testing and design optimization testing (DOT) are important for optimizing remediation project design and reducing costs. Pilot testing is typically performed to determine whether to proceed with a remedy, while DOTs are performed to optimize the chosen remedy. Pilot testing can help with the following: - Assessing the scalability of bench-scale or stoichiometric designs with safety factors - Determining the feasibility of achieving the overall remediation goals based on soil and groundwater monitoring concentrations - Evaluating different remedial chemistries and delivery approaches, especially when multiple events are anticipated Design optimization testing can help with: - Identifying whether preferential flow paths within the well screen will impact the overall effectiveness of the well-injected remedy in contacting all targeted mass with the selected amendment. - Determining whether the proposed injection or fracturing pressures and flows can be achieved and optimized without short circuiting, day lighting, or excessive mounding. - Deciding whether estimated costs

"I’ve worked with Brett before, and his performance held up again. Santiago and his guys were also exceptional. Their communication throughout the project was exceptional; they genuinely cared about the product being delivered and made life out there easy on us. Working under state and federal service contracts can be complex. You want contractors who seamlessly deliver on-time, on-budget, and safely to protect your reputation. Here's what a client has to say about our Aquifer Drilling & Testing field crews and administrative support. "Dan and Camille oversee the project completion and administration of [our state] contracts and upon the completion of two of those multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts, received "Excellent" ratings on the [state’s] performance evaluations. It is due to their continued efforts that we maintain such great relations with our gov't customers. Thank you both for all you have done and continue to do to support our operations." From fieldwork to paperwork, we are dedicated to excellence on every level. If you'd like people like Dan and Camille to work on your next project, let us know.
"The crews you sent out for the well destructions were outstanding. They worked safely, efficiently and had great feedback going through the tasks. They were engaged and took the time to do the work the right way. "Victor and Jose had to remove a couple oversized vaults (4-ft diameter). These were very heavy and cumbersome to work with. They took the time to plan out the best approach to remove the vaults and kept me in the loop on what equipment they required to get it done. They had to go to the Richmond yard to get some items for the removals. I’m glad they did that instead of trying to jerry-rig with what they had onsite. During the actual vault removals, they were great about keeping the area clear of other staff and equipment and working methodically to take them out safely and without getting hurt." Great work, Victor and Jose--thank you for representing Cascade so well!
"Your crews did a great job mentoring a newer crew member throughout the project, giving him tips to work more efficiently and what to look out for to stay safe. Always good to see the older staff passing on the knowledge. Mentorship is super important these days." Even our clients notice the mentorship our field crews provide to new members of the team.
