In addition to our recent observance of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15), FiscalNote both honors and celebrates Disability Awareness Month (October 1 - October 31).
Our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) intends to empower team members to create and build an environment in which they’re invited to bring their “whole selves” to work; to feel empowered and valued; and, to flourish professionally. We strive to accomplish all of this through operationalizing equity; cultivating community, learning, and leadership. But it’s not an entirely insular process. It can’t be. We must work to amplify and advocate for the muffled voices and stories of survival everywhere.
In March 2021, FiscalNote joined a growing coalition pledging to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. One of nearly 2,000 CEOs that have come together for CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, company founder and CEO Tim Hwang has committed to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In April 2021, FiscalNote observed its inaugural "Day of Understanding" as part of this pledge, which feature a series of internal safe-space dialogue sessions.
