We’ve had to update our mid-contract price rise calculator to deal with Virgin Media’s massive new 13.8% increase 😲 Unlike other broadband providers, Virgin will at least let you leave when they increase prices mid-contract this year – but you only have 30 days after you receive your price rise notification to let them know you’re switching to a different provider. So get shopping around!
You know we’re not like other broadband companies – we don’t hit our customers with mid-contract price rises. Now we’re making sure everyone knows – we’re launching a TV, digital and outdoor campaign to raise more awareness, and show that not every broadband company is the same. “Surely they can’t do that,” protests one character in the ad. “Look,” her housemate responds, “they’ve stuck it in the small print – apparently they can!” The campaign launches just as Ofcom has started a review based on new data that shows just how unfair these price increases are. Perfect timing.
